Dear Parents,
One of my greatest joys as an educator is watching students grow and develop throughout their school years and, eventually, seeing them walk across the stage as graduating seniors. It is truly one of the most rewarding parts of what we do!
I cannot stress enough to our students how important their middle school years are and how the skills, habits, and knowledge they develop now will help prepare them for a successful high school experience.
Parents, I encourage you to stay actively involved in your child’s education. Please check your child’s grades regularly through Skyward and communicate with their teachers to find out where your child is doing well and where they may need additional support.
If you are waiting until parent-teacher conferences or report card time to ask questions about your child’s progress, you may be waiting too long. Staying informed throughout the school year allows us to work together to address concerns early and celebrate successes along the way.
The teachers at AMS value your partnership and need your support. Students are much more likely to stay motivated and succeed when they know their parents and teachers are working together, paying attention, and holding them accountable.
Thank you for being an important part of your child’s educational journey. Together, we can help our students build the foundation they need to be successful, not only in high school, but also life after the Alton School District.
